I’m SUPER excited to be doing a guest post for Stephanie on her creative “Somewhat Simple” blog! I loooooved her darling “Let’s Celebrate” board that she just shared with our readers. Her creative ideas, beautiful website, and darling personality totally sold me on this blog!🙂 I am Tara, one of the *divas* blogging for the website, The Dating Divas. If any of you have a ROADTRIP planned to visit family for the holidays – then I have the perfect date AKA “fabulous-way-to-pass-time-in-the-car” idea for you! This past summer, we relocated to gorgeous Northern Cali for three blissful months…HOT Vegas. With SO much quality time together, I thought this would be the perfect time to throw together an “on the fly” date!

I made treat toppers to fit the top of a gallon-sized baggie AND a sandwich-sized baggie.

I filled ONE gallon bag with Jamie’s FAVORITE treat – homemade cheesy popcorn.

Another gallon baggie included all of the fun games & printables we would be doing, and the last baggie included other yummy assorted treats, including chocolate {which is MY favorite}.

🙂 MAD LIBS would be the perfect road trip game as well.

I didn’t have time to run to the store to buy any but I found plenty of downloadable ones online….Googling it.

{lol} I then set to work & created all of these FUN “Road Trip Survival Kit” printables to go along with my theme……The picture below may explain a little more what all of these were used for….A fun “on the road” date idea that you can do while you are traveling for the holidays…. *sigh* I can pretty much find just about anything I need on there! I almost started jumping up and down when I saw a FABULOUS & super affordable ebook FILLED with all sorts of Road Trip games. Bingo, word searches, mazes, scavenger hunts….I fell in LOVE with their “Secret Mission” printables. This would be perfect to use as a family when traveling as well…fact this whole DATE could be an entire family experience.🙂 You can read more about that in my original post on our website.I immediately purchased the ebook and printed off the games I wanted to play with my cute hubby. We were looking at being in the car for TWELVE hours straight so I wanted to make sure we had plenty to choose from.
